HANDOVER PROCESS

Basically Pick-up and Drop-off

HANDOVER

The car owner and the car renter are the key players in the handover process. Sometimes a Ride support staff may be involved too. Handover encompasses pick-up and drop-off at the Ride trusted center.

Pick-up

Happens after a car owner has accepted the rental request by a Ride platform vetted car renter. To complete the handover, the car owner has to:

  • Take their car to the Ride trusted pick up center or the agreed point.
  • Meet the renter, confirm their identity and initiate the handover process; confirming the payment, checking the driver’s license, going through the checklist, and showing the extras to the renter.

The car renter on the other hand will take at least 6 well-lit photos of the car, all showing the car angles and one selfie clearly showing the car.

Drop-off

Car renter will drop the vehicle at the Ride trusted pick-up/drop-off center on the allotted time. The car owner will be available at the same place, same time for the handover. The handover process will require the car owner to:

  • With the help of the renter, re-inspect the car for any damages, cleanliness, modifications or un-authorized improvements.
  • Re-visit the checklist for missing, damaged or replaced items.

The car renter will take at least 6 well-lit photos of the car, all showing the car angles on return.

Incase of any disputes ,the dispute management process will apply
